Kitchen - Visiting Artisan Series
June 12 & 13 or June 26 & 27, 2010
Collaborate with creative and wonderful
Artist Dorothee Goldman to learn the
art of Vineyard Papermaking. Harvest
vineyard elements to transform into amazing
papers, shades or other artsy treats. While
staying at the Black Sheep Inn for three
evenings, you will enjoy all meals,
activities and a few extra surprises.
This workshop introduces the basics of
homemade paper, using cotton, abacca, and
hemp fibers, as well as other natural fibers
like, iris, burdock, thistle, grapevine, and
corn. Design your own pulp with natural
colors and textures and pull paper for book
covers or embossed pieces from the fibers
you hand-picked. You will also enjoy a
private sampling at
Keuka Lake Vineyards, one of the premier
boutique wineries overlooking beautiful
Keuka Lake.

Two-day ceramics workshop. August 26-28, 2010
Join the Black Sheep Inn and
Goff Creek
Pottery for an outstanding opportunity, 3
night stay, 2 days of hands on pottery with
Mary Lynn, all meals, wine tasting and other
extra surprises await you. Begin your days
at 10 am, end at 3 PM. What stirs the souls
of gardener? Why, planning next years
garden, of course. To those with a green
thumb, now is always the time for gardening.
During this two-day workshop, gardeners will
design and create pottery to enhance their
verdant realms. Handmade tiles, a garden
plaque or a charming toad house. Working
with garden sculptor Mary Lynn Good,
attendees will have access to the premium
materials used to create the frost-proof
ware that Goff Creek Pottery is known for,
pieces guaranteed to endure for ages. Four
hours of individual instruction per day,
with ample time for lunch and breaks.
Up to 25 lb. of clay per person - unlimited
use of tools, stamps, colorful slips, glaze
and firing. Students should expect to make
one to two projects during this class (more
available for additional charge). Please
bring shirt, pants and shoes suitable for
working with clay, for a change of clothes
at the studio.

Two-day PMC workshop. September 2-4, 2010
Loving your Mom just became easier at the
Black Sheep Inn, where you, your Mother,
daughter, aunts and cousins can join up to
discover how special each of you is to the
other, and that you can all enjoy some much
needed time away from your hectic lives.
Spend 3 wonderful evenings at the Black
Sheep Inn, and you will also discover PMC
–Precious Metal Clay, A revolutionary
clay-like medium that allows you to mold or
sculpt Your own designs and fire them into
finished . 999 fine silver pieces.
Join sculptor and jeweler Mary Lynn Good
of Goff Creek Pottery for a hands-on
workshop where participants will learn
the basics of construction techniques using
PMC, texturing, making hollow forms,
carving, stone setting, firing and metal
finishing techniques using polishing methods
and patina. Participants will create their
own beads, pendants, rings or earrings to
take home at the end of class! Also while on
your nurturing journey with family, enjoy
other hands on excursions with all your
favorite people, glass blowing, paint your
own pottery, “crafting” something special
are just a few of the excursions scheduled.
Fine food, great wine and all of you
together! Five hours of individual
instruction per day, with ample time for
lunch and breaks. One package of PMC per

Join the Black Sheep Inn, Captain Terry and
first mate from Seneca Sailing Adventures
for a wonderful 3-hour sailing excursion,
you can be delighted with stories of the
lake or learn all about sailing from the
experts. You choose... We’ ll send along a
cooler full of goodies, and the rest is up
to you. Once you disembark from the sailing
tour, you will be met by a limo for an
afternoon tour of local wineries and end at
one of our favorite haunts for dinner.
