Join the Black Sheep Inn and the Middletown Historical Society at our Murder Mystery to seek answers to an actual murder…The United Methodist Church, 8 Front Street, Addison, NY is the location for this special event. The trial you will be involved in is an actual case based on a real murder and the subsequent trial that happened in what was known as Middletown at the time. The Historical Society is presenting the event and has invited real attorneys, judge and you, the jury, to participate. Although you are the audience you also become the jury and decide the fate of the accused. Refreshments will be served while serving on the jury, and upon arrival back at the Inn, Dinner and discussion await, along with a few other surprises.

The 32nd Annual Wineglass Marathon, one of the more popular and fastest-growing marathons in the Northeast U.S., takes place in the Finger Lakes Region on Sunday, October 6, 2013.

Keauka in Bloom

In this workshop, guests have the opportunity to take painting tutorials under the direction of Tom Gardner, an established and well-respected regional artist with over 40 years experience in his profession. He has been represented by West End Gallery in Corning, NY for 33 years. This workshop caters to intermediate and professional artists.

Course description: Plein air/field studies: Tom Gardner, will concentrate on painting on the spot outdoors, capturing the view you see before you – taking color notes and rearranging composition to enhance the view. Basically, we want to build an appealing painting using nature as a starting point. Weather permitting, we will be outside, but if necessary we can paint inside from reference photographs which will be provided.

Finger Lakes Skydivers offers the tandem program to introduce you to the world of skydiving. Following a short instructional session, we will fly you to an altitude of 10,000 feet where your skydiving adventure begins. Harnessed to your own personal instructor you will exit the aircraft and experience the thrill of 30 seconds of free fall. After the parachute is open, the instructor will fly you on a 5-minute ride back to the landing area while you enjoy the spectacular view of the Finger Lakes.

Ye Old Fleece Fair is all about felting and fibre arts, so if you have ever wanted to learn or update your skills in the fibre arts arena, this is the class and Chameil Haney is your instructor. So while you're here in the Finger Lakes region learning the art of felting, your stay also includes a few private wine tastings, a morning of shop hopping to find the perfect materials or embellishments and try your hand at Glass Blowing.

The Black Sheep Inn in Hammondsport, welcomes you to our lovingly restored Octagon House as your home away from home as you explore Hammondsport, Keuka Lake, and the rest of the Finger Lakes Region. You will enjoy the local shopping as you visit several of our village shops to pick up specially arranged gifts from the Inn. Then it’s on to the Keuka Lake wine trail to sample some of the local wine at a couple of our favorite boutique wineries, where you will receive complementary wine tastings. While on the wine trail, you can take in the spectacular views of Keuka Lake while savoring a delicious lunch from the deck of a local restaurant. And to complete your whirlwind tour of Hammondsport, you can visit the historic Glenn H.
